Anchal Bothra is a third culture, inquisitive crazy art lover, born in India in 1998, and from then on has lived in the most genki and manga city of Tokyo, with her parents and brother. During her 22 years of residence in Tokyo, she learned about manners and demeanor. Bothra appreciates how people seem serene and generous to others. She believes that there is an impressive stoicism in people’s etiquette, even in the face of earthquakes. The culture of Japan has fascinated her, to explore and enjoy Japanese artwork. Her artwork entitled ‘Asakusa’ is a part of a more extensive work series, labeled as the Land of the Rising Sun. This miniseries consists of minimalism and detailed illustration work, using earthy colors representing Japan’s culture the best.
