Takaseki, Karin

Ever since I was little, my mother always thought of places that looked pleasing to the eyes to show me and she surrounded me with many beautiful things and scenery. Every time I saw a “nice visual” or something beautiful with a loved one, or even alone, I felt happy and excited to be able to share that time with them. These little events I experienced growing up lead me to value the small and big beautiful things in life. Now, every time I see something visually pleasing I take a picture to share (with my family and with many others) and to keep for memory. This created a habit of taking photographs on my iPhone. To me, beautiful things are an important part of one’s happiness and I think it is good for mental health. Looking at beauty, being surrounded by beauty, and sharing beauty with loved ones is something that everyone should do in their daily lives.
