Artist Statement
I painted nature scenes and landscapes, finding peace in capturing the beauty of the world around me, but then I started experimenting with abstract art, using it to express my thoughts and feelings. Art is like a language that goes beyond words, allowing me to communicate on a deeper level. And through the process of creating art, I have been learning to uncover hidden meanings and understand the complexities of life. As a result, as I continue the artistic journey, I am grateful for the inspiration and support that have guided me along the way. Each new painting is a chance to explore, discover, and connect with others. Through it all, I have come to realize the incredible power of art to inspire, illuminate, and bring people together.
In addition, I am now residing in Tokyo, Japan, and studying at Temple University, where I continue to create vibrant and evocative art. From the influence of my Taiwanese heritage and deep appreciation for Japanese culture. I want to capture a unique combination of cultural influences and personal experiments. I was inspired by the landscape of Taiwan and the vibrant atmosphere of Tokyo, I often feature bold colors and whimsical elements.
In conclusion, I recently shifted in subject matter, from painting bubbles to portraying bunnies in traditional Japanese kimono, which reflects a deeper exploration of innocence and complexity. Drawing from childhood memories and cultural influence, my artwork invites viewers to embark on a journey of self-discovery and cultural exploration.
