Gaze: A study and use of eyes in character art
The gaze is a powerful tool that draws attention to both the subject and the viewer. In these works, the gaze (or lack of) aims to pull the audience into the space each character inhabits. There is no better way to immerse yourself into a world than a character pulling you in themselves.

About the artist: Thien Bill Nguyen is a Vietnamese American illustrator and artist from Denver, Colorado. He nurtured his drawing skills from home and realized his passion for it while serving in the U.S. Marine Corps. His works aim to bring to life his and others’ stories and provide escapism to those who need it.
