TUJ Art Naomi Sinai is an illustrator from Jakarta, Indonesia who mainly works with digital medium and occasionally dabbles in analog techniques. Ever since a young age they have been inspired by fantasy worldbuilding in the media that they consume. Influenced by their graphic designer and painter relatives, Naomi was determined to work in the arts. Growing up, they moved to Japan from their high school years and experienced living in a cross-cultural community, which was expanded further by attending an American university in Tokyo as an art major. Their exploration of their queer identity has helped in experimenting and developing their artistic vision, motivating them to integrate their self-exploration into their narrative storytelling pieces. Naomi strives to inspire and connect with their audience through visual storytelling pieces.
